Creating confidence and competence

That tag line has always been my goal since I decided to start this business. Whether I am working with an 8 year old athlete simply trying to figure out how to control basic motor patterns, or a middle aged adult with a desk job dealing with back pain, this has always been the target.

What does it mean? Physical activity can be intimidating for many individuals. Young athletes or adults entering the weight room without a clue of what to do doesn’t only push them away from a positive relationship with exercise, but it can also be flat out dangerous.

By having a program tailored to your individual needs, training with MT Performance will provide you with the confidence and physical tools that you need to achieve your goals.

About me

Since I was a kid, I have been obsessed with physical activity and sports. I had an encyclopedic knowledge of the rosters of all of my favorite sports team and would often play football games in my front yard, even if nobody else could play. That obsession led me to play sports all through high school and even to this day for fun. About halfway through high school I fell in love with the weight room. I went from a 115 pound 14 year old to 185 pounds by my senior year and it allowed me to have a lot of success on the field- as well as build my confidence off of it,

After high school, I attended Indiana University where I earned my B.S. in exercise science and my B.A. in Spanish linguistics. Once I began interning at a gym called Teamwork Bloomington in Indiana, I knew this was the correct career path for me. There I became a National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and have been learning new information every single day about the field. I have a real passion for helping people achieve their goals whether they involve athletics or simply being able to go for walks with their children or grandchildren.
